My nominee for greatest video on youtube.

Nico - These Days (Jackson Browne cover)
please don’t confront me with my failures, I have not forgotten them
Langley Schools Music Project - God Only Knows (Beach Boys)
This is kind of different, but I really like it. The Langley Schools Music Project is based on 1976-77 recordings of a Langley, BC children’s chorus singing pop songs from the time. They released two EPs, but were only really discovered in 2001. It’s very amateur, but in the best possible way.
Herman’s Hermits - I’m Into Something Good
Such a simple, fun pop song.

The Miracles - Tracks of My Tears
I watched The Motown Sound: In Performance at The White House the other night, so I’ve been in a Motown mood recently. You can watch the entire show here (thanks to PBS). It was the most enjoyable hour of TV I’ve watched in a long time. Motown has a way of getting you dancing in your seat. Natasha Beddingfield did the cover of Tracks of My Tears (and got a standing ovation), but of course nothing can beat the Smokey Robinson original.
The Temptations - My Girl
I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day

Bob Dylan - Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right
And it ain’t no use in turnin’ on your light, babe
I’m on the dark side of the road
The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
What a beauty. The suit I mean.
The Four Tops - Baby I Need Your Loving
Written by the Holland-Dozier-Holland writing team, and one of the best songs from Motown.
